Sorry – reception so poor at St. Columba’s that I wasn’t able to post so here are a bunch of Iona pics sent out from Tobermory. Sent with prayers for safety for all from Irma. The first is in village, house with sign to the Abbey and Nunnery, the second is gate to Nunnery, one of best preserved medieval nunnery structures in the U.K., c. 1200, built by Ranald, Lord of the Isles, who also built the Abbey at same time. His sister was the first prioress. The nunnery is about 1/4 milefrom the Abbey.
