I pronounced as long e sound. Is 600 meters from base of climb, not too far but tricky with wind. When we entered gate to go in, man leaving said it was “blowing a hooley up there.” We asked Katie, our Scottish waiter, and she hadn’t heard term. Turns out it’s Irish, means a “big gale.” We figured as much!
