On mainland. We decided to take a new route, saw gardens and a town called Plockton, then drove over mountains to Applecross. The gardener recommended it-wondered at times if he had taken a dislike to us. Too curvy for words. We ate at Applecross Inn, then drove around peninsula, hoping we would find a gas station as we had only 1/4 tank. We made it back home.
