Street of the dead

Bodies were buried all over the island, coming from all over Scotland and even further, including some Norse kings, but only the most prominent ones would have been placed in the cemetery. This street goes from St. Oran’s chapel to the abbey church, and originally would have stretched to the seacost. Residents of the island are still buried in Reilig Odhrain.
