is thought to be the first cross with Celtic circle added, an innovation created in part to support the heavy stone horizontal Members. Despite this, the cross collapsed twice in the 1900s. They may have been too ambitious with the length of those arms! The museum reconstruction shows the dimensions and shape of the full cross.
