Philip invited me to listen in on their family gathering before dinner, this time the official birthday dinner with about twenty family members.
Their son Cameron played violin as well as his uncle (out of frame) and uncle’s daughter on piano. They were all brilliant! Jennifer plays and tours with a Scottish folk singer, don’t remember her name. They will be performing at Disney, Orlando next year.
Earlier I had heard bagpipes out my window – the uncle playing a piece he wrote in memory of his father-in-law, Ali’s father. (Both Philip and Ali’s fathers were ministers. In fact, Heather told me that Philip delivered a wonderful eulogy for his father, who died two years ago – should be on his website somewhere.)
I wished for Mickey to be there; he would have loved the music as well. What a lovely family they are. I felt a bit like the paparazzi.
