Her friend Kenneth Steven was on the ferry from Iona to Fionnphort and also the Craignure to Oban ferry. We sat and talked to him during the longer crossing and he inscribed two of his books of poetry for us; I have copied poems from both collections in the August Bay View.When we parted he gave me a piece of Iona marble. I had told him of our plans to find a small piece of marble to be inlaid into our new communion table, and I think this will be the piece! What a blessing!
