Doorway to retreat.

When Beshara students do a week-long retreat here, their food is brought to them once a day, and they are here in silence, bringing no books, having no program to follow. The idea is to be with oneself.
This school has been running here since 1973, and courses are open to anyone who”is interested in questioning the nature or purpose of their existence and their relationship with reality, regardless of faith, nationality, background, age, culture, or physical ability.” The school runs a few weekend courses, week-long courses, and a six-month course. The daily timetable involves three periods of meditation, meals, morning coffee mid-morning, and afternoon tea at four. Quite a civilized place! And the people have all been lovely.
