Beshara School is currently having a week-long conference here, with about fifteen participants. It is an advanced study of the work of Ibn ‘Arabi (d. 1240), regarded as one of the most influential figures in the Islamic world. He is most famous for his teachings on the oneness of being (wahdat al-wujud) and human perfection. His student Sadruddin al-Qunawi was a contemporary and friend of Rumi.
