The Bield in Blackruthven

A Christian retreat center outside Perth. I spent Sat. night there, hoping it would be a place I would want to bring others. Yes, it’s wonderful! This is entrance, with Celtic cross greeting visitors. The retreat directors are Robin and Marianne Anker-Petersen. Robin is a Scottish Episcopal priest.
Bield is a Scottish word meaning a place of shelter or refuge, protection and rest. It can accommodate 18 people in twin and double rooms. I hope if a group of us come to Scotland in the future that we can book a couple of days here. As their brochure says: “while people of all faiths or of none are welcome at the Bield, our vision is centered in the person of Jesus Christ, and the well being, nurture and healing found in him.”
Their website is http://www.bieldatblackruthven.org.uk.
